GENTLE YOGA - Reduce stress and tension in your body with this slow-moving class that gently stretches and strengthens the body as students link breath to movement. Class will incorporate floor-based postures and gentle, standing poses. Modifications to poses and the use of props are offered, helping students gently ease into poses and find proper alignment.
YIN YOGA - A wonderful balance to your active, fast paced exercise program. Yin yoga incorporates longer held floor-based stretches (3-5 minutes) that stimulate and create fluidity in the deep connective tissues (fascia, tendons, and ligaments). A Yin practice increases flexibility and range of motion, improves circulation, and releases tension in the body. This class will help you slow down, find stillness in the mind, and leave you feeling relaxed. Recommended for both beginners and experienced yogis.
POWER YOGA- A moderate-vigorous intensity practice focusing on building strength and endurance.
RESTORATIVE YOGA - A meditative practice that combines the ancient formula of yoga nidra with Heartmath techniques with Judith Lasiter's restorative yoga principles. These offer you stress relief and renewal. Along with other skills, you learn how to position yourself comfortably with props, focus on 5/5 breathing, create a felt sense of gratitude, and manage your inner dialogue. As a result, the heart and brain signal the body to "let go". Skills practiced every day have a cumulative effect on your well-being.
FLOW YOGA - For all levels! This class blends various yoga traditions and styles. Beginning with gentler movements to warm up the body, the class moves at a moderate pace to build heat and promote strength, balance, and flexibility. Instructors will offer options for all levels of practice.
